The 2026 Midterm Election is Approaching: Key Dates to Know

As the country prepares to vote in the midterm elections, here are some important dates to know for Tennessee:
October 14-29: Early Voting
Early voting begins in 9 days and extends through the last Thursday of October. Tennesseans can cast their ballot at any early voting location within their county. To find more information on how to vote early, visit your county’s website or GoVoteTN.
November 3: Election Day
Polls will be open until 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on Election Day. If you plan to vote on November 3, you will be assigned to a specific voting location, which you can find HERE.
Tennessee will be electing its next governor, congressional representation, one United States senator, various state offices, and voting on three constitutional amendments this fall. This will also be the first general election where Tennesseans will vote in new congressional districts, since they were redrawn in May 2026.
